The first Illustration and Design Forum

We hosted the first Illustration and Design Forum in London last Sunday, and it was a blast! Illustrators and designers Alice Potter, Emma Block, and Rachel Lewis made up the panel and spoke about different aspects of the creative industries, and there were interesting questions and debate in the Q & A section.

Adam and I enjoyed meeting all of the attendees and it was great to get to chat with you about the creative world and hear your feedback. We got our craft on in the last few weeks making lots of decorations for the venue, including some props for the market place, where creative books, journals, independent magazines and prints by the artists on the panel were being snapped up.

The day was a great success and we've already started planning the next event, which promises to be bigger and better! We're planning lots more events, as well as the launch of our online shop and a new range of parties, so make sure you sign up to our mailing list to be kept in the loop. You can follow us on Twitter and Facebook too - come and say 'Hi'! Our next  crafty event in the Studio is a fun tote printing class with Nancy Straughan. Send us an email at events@shipshapestudio.co.uk to book your own crafty party in the Studio.
